James G. Moran, CPA, MBA, CGMA began his accounting and tax career 33 years ago before moving to Haymarket, VA in Western Prince William County.

A Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and a Certified Global Management Accountant, Jim Moran served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy, most notably on the staff of ADM H.G. Rickover, the father of the nuclear Navy. Jim attained the rank of Commander. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and his MBA in accounting from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Jim worked for IBM as a manager in finance and later served as the CFO/Vice President for LCT, Inc. which he took to a successful sale.

Jim is also licensed to sell securities in Virginia, making him capable of communicating clearly with your financial planner.

• He’s served and is serving as the Prince William County Police and Firefighter’s Supplementary Retirement Plan’s vice chairman/chairman for 12 years.
• He is currently serving in his seventh year as an advisor to the Piedmont Charitable Foundation.
• He’s in his fifth year serving as treasurer of the O’Callahan Society (College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist both the Holy Cross NROTC unit in performance its mission and its unit members, who are college students.
