Individual Tax Engagement

You sign an engagement letter with us, then submit a completed organizer or your own tax papers and form. We review each submission carefully and compile a list of questions for you to complete your input portion.

Once you answer our questions, we prepare your return. The draft return is reviewed and we prepare the workpapers. (Workpapers are the backup for the numbers and additional material in your return.) We index each workpaper and save them as permanent record for audit retention. We are always prepared to represent you should an audit arise.

The complete return is then copied and prepared for you. If you prefer electronic filing, the electronic filing forms will be provided to you, along with a copy of your return for your reference.

Business Tax Engagement

We sign an engagement letter stating that we agree to do business together. Your next step is to submit a balance sheet and an income statement to us. We review the submission and compile questions for you regarding your input.

After we consult on the questions, we prepare your return. The draft return is reviewed, and we finalize the workpapers. Workpapers serve as the backup for the numbers and other material in your return. We index the workpapers and save them as permanent record in the event of an audit. We are always prepared to represent you should an audit arise.

Complete forms are then copied and prepared for you. If you prefer electronic filing, we can provide the forms to you alone with a copy of your return for reference.

Accounting Engagement

This relationship begins by signing an engagement letter, submitting a balance sheet and providing us with an income statement. We will make adjustments to ensure your statement conforms to generally accepted accounting principles. In the case of a review, we will perform procedures to allow us to attest that we were not aware of any material modification that should be made to the statement in order for them to be in accordance with GAAP. Next, we prepare the notes to the financial statement. And lastly, we perform a final review and submit the statement and notes to you.

Consulting Engagement

After you sign an engagement letter, we will meet to discuss the approach to your individual problem or concern. When we agree on an approach, we designate the appropriate paperwork to submit to us, work through the problems and present any recommendations. We prepare a detailed report and submit it to you after the field work is complete.
